A man impersonates Alan from “The Hangover” and makes $250,000 a year
Celebrity impersonators are people who have a genetically gifted physical appearance similar to a celebrity. They need to dress up as well as mimic the fine nuisances of the actions and personality traits of that celebrity. The desire to see a celebrity up close, even ones who have died, fuels the opportunities for these impersonators. Elvis Presley has more impersonators than any other celebrity in the world, but below is the story of Thaddeus Kalinoski who never thought he would be an impersonator the character Alan from The Hangover movies and will earn $250,000 per year while doing so. But he does!
Thaddeus Kalinoski was a regular restaurant manager. Soon, however, he found himself in a dark place due to personal problems, gaining 20 pounds and a beard. He then came to the sudden realization that he resembled Zach Galifianakisâs character, Alan, from The Hangover films.
Thaddeus Kalinoski was a regular guy from Philadelphia who worked as a restaurant manager. He suffered a series of personal tragedies including the loss of his job and a failed marriage. Thaddeus went into a dark place and ended up gaining 20 pounds and a beard. When going out, such as to the local Walmart, he would wear huge dark sunglasses. Once, a bar patron asked him for a picture confusing him as Zach Galifianakis. It was then that Thaddeus realized that he uncannily resembled Zach Galifianakisâs character, Alan, from The Hangover movies.
Thaddeus moved to Atlantic City to test out his new role as Alan impersonator, but everything changed when he went to Las Vegas. He started earning $250,000 a year in the Sin City.
Thaddeus moved to Atlantic City to see what people thought about his impersonation of Alan, and he had some fun. His life radically changed, however, after a weekend vacation in Las Vegas. He started receiving cash and perks from strangers on the Strip. He also started getting gigs because of his resemblance to Alan that paid up to $1,000 per event. Two added perks are drinking became a part of his job description and so did female attention. Thaddeus parties it up with all kinds of people in Las Vegas and gets paid for his bizarre antics as Alan. Basically, Kalinoski is living it up as a celebrity and is also getting paid in the process.
Thaddeus hobnobs with big time celebrities, parties it up with ladies, and has even landed himself a role as Alanâs double in The Hangover III.
Impersonating one-fourth of the wolf pack has bought Thaddeus enough fame to hang out with the likes of Bradley Cooper, Mike Tyson, and Gene Simmons among others. Also, he got the role of Alanâs body double in the 2013 movie The Hangover III. Kalinoski even carries a fake baby to look the part and says he doesn’t remember the last time he paid for his drink.

Since Zach Galifianakis has lost a lot of weight recently, and there doesn’t seem to be another Hangover movie in the foreseeable future, prospects for Thaddeus Kalinoski do not look good. It’s hard to say how long he will be able to keep up his lucrative impersonation game. It must be said, however, that Thad created some new dimensions in the character of Alan.
