However, when those parents are celebrated athletes, it becomes the child’s dream not only to reach the same level but also to surpass them. Mya Lesnar, the daughter of WWE superstar Brock Lesnar, is another example of how the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Despite her young age, this budding athlete is already making her father proud by breaking records and carving out a name for herself.

With a WWE superstar as her father, Mya is also eager to become a professional athlete.

Born on April 10, 2002, Mya was introduced to the glitz and glamour of having a famous father from a very young age. However, being a celebrity offspring is far down the list of her most notable achievements. She is currently pursuing her education at Colorado State University after transferring from Arizona State University, where she majored in criminal justice. Despite their father’s celebrity status, Mya and her twin brother, Luke, have maintained a low profile. Yet, Mya has been making a name for herself in her own right.

In addition to her academic pursuits, Mya is excelling in athletics, demonstrating that she has inherited her father’s abilities and work ethic. She competes in the shot put, hammer throw, and discus throw teams at her university. Although she has mentioned that joining the military would be her dream job, it seems that a career in sports could be a strong alternative.

Mya Lesnar holds a top spot in the nationwide rankings for women’s indoor shot put in 2023.

Even as a junior on the Colorado State track and field team, Mya’s impressive performances have earned her significant recognition. Her most recent achievement was setting the school record in the shot put competition during the Mines Alumni Classic meet.

In the competition, her first two attempts landed in the 16-meter range, placing her in first place. Although her fourth and fifth attempts resulted in fouls, her record-breaking sixth toss outdistanced the competition by nearly 3 meters. With a throw reaching 18.50 meters, she shattered the previous school record of 17.55 meters.

According to her school, this toss has placed her at the top of the nationwide rankings for women’s indoor shot put. The victory also earned Mya the title of “Student Athlete of the Week” by the Colorado State University track and field team, the CSU Rams.

This isn’t her first accolade, either. During her time at Arizona State University, she earned All-Mountain West Honors, an award given to students who excel both in athletics and academics. She placed first in the weight throw at the indoor Mountain West Championships and third in the shot put at both the indoor and outdoor conference championships.

Mya is clearly following in the footsteps of her father, Brock Lesnar.

The younger Lesnar has taken many lessons from her father’s journey. Brock Lesnar, one of America’s most gifted athletes, has an extensive list of accomplishments. Before becoming a WWE Champion, he was an NCAA Division I wrestler at the University of Minnesota, where he won a championship in 2000. He later transitioned to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), where he became the heavyweight champion. Brock Lesnar also pursued a career in the National Football League (NFL), joining the Minnesota Vikings in 2004, although he was released during training camp.
