This is why and how the rapper implanted gold chains.
Dan Sur, who originally had long stylized black dreads, entirely removed his natural hair and implanted gold chains into his scalp in 2021. Thereâs a bizarre reason why Dan got golden chains as hair. The then 23-year-old rapper wanted to do something different than just color-dying his hair as everyone else was doing the same. So, he decided that, instead of dying his hair, he would replace them with gold chains in the hope that no one copies his unique gold chain hair look.
It is unclear as to how much the reggaetón artist spent installing the gold chains on his scalp, but he mentioned that he spared no expense in the process. As for the question of how he installed those shiny gold chains, he has hooks implanted in his skull that have chains hooked to them. Apparently, Dan is the first known person to undergo such an implant.
However, Dan has been alleged to have implanted fake gold chains. The rapper, therefore, has several times taken to TikTok to assert that the locks are genuine gold. He took a glass of water and drowned the chains in it to point out that the chains are real gold and not fake. Although the method does not seem very convincing, many of his fans still believe that the chains are real gold.
Dan has over 150k followers on Instagram and more than 6 million followers on TikTok. While the fans appreciate Dan Surâs gold chain hair, he often has to face backlash and trolling for replacing his real hair with gold chains.
Gold chain implants of the rapper might have been inspired by Lil Uzi Vert.

The rapperâs gold chain implants are reportedly inspired by an American rapper, Lil Uzi Vert. Uzi went viral on social media in early 2021 when he embedded a $24 million natural pink diamond into his forehead. He implanted the gigantic 10-carat diamond into his forehead using the transdermal or micro dermal implant technique. The process involves placing a thin but wide anchor under the skin to which the gem is embedded using small posts.
However, in a bizarre turn of events, Uziâs $24 million diamond was ripped out of his head during one of his performances! The incident occurred during his concert at the Rolling Loud music festival in July 2021. Uzi, while performing, dove into the crowd for crowd surfing when his big jewel got ripped off. Luckily, he was able to retrieve the diamond.
