In addition to ideas of a star and plus/minus symbols, the “Like” button was originally going to be “Awesome”, but was vetoed by Mark Zuckerberg in 2007.(source)

10 More than 1.8 million new “likes” are made on Facebook every minute.

In an infographic by Qmee, it was revealed that in just one minute more than 1.8 million likes are made on Facebook. There are also 41 thousand posts every second.(source)

11 It’s possible to set who will be able to manage your Facebook account after you die.

Known as a “legacy contact”, it’s possible to designate someone to manage your account after you die. They will be able to delete the account or manage it as a type of digital gravestone. This is a new feature and is not available in all countries yet as testing and debates continue.(source)
