On Sehel Island in the Nile, there is an inscription called the Famine Stela. Written in Egyptian hieroglyphs, the inscription describes a seven-year period of famine and drought during the reign of pharaoh Djoser. Experts think it was inscribed during the Ptolemaic Kingdom that ruled from 332 to 31 BC.
