Andy Kelso, born in the United Kingdom, was a vicar at Christ Church in Matchborough, Worcestershire, for almost 25 years. However, he decided to leave his job as a religious leader to pursue a career as an Elvis Presley lookalike.

Kelso had spent several years performing as an Elvis impersonator in his leisure time before leaving the religion. He played in local taverns, clubs, and even churches, claiming God had sent him a message to join the Elvis Presley Church. Kelso was well-known for his remarkable likeness to Elvis Presley and his ability to imitate the King’s memorable performances.

Kelso’s decision to quit the church was not easy, but he felt compelled to take a different course in life. He battled prescription medicine addiction, which he claims contributed to his decision to leave the faith. Kelso devoted himself full-time to his Elvis impersonator career after leaving his ecclesiastical post, performing in numerous places across the UK.

Although some may think Kelso’s professional move was unusual, he found immense delight and fulfillment as an Elvis impersonator. He still performs as the King and has even published an album of his original compositions. (source)

However, his acting career did not start off well, and he had to work as a carpenter to make ends meet. He soon landed a little part in the film Dead Heat on a Merry-Go-Round, and his career began to take off.

Ford had his breakthrough in the hit movie American Graffiti, followed by his legendary portrayal of Han Solo in the Star Wars saga. Despite his success as an actor, Ford finally returned to his old trade as a carpenter because he considered the acting business unpredictable and unstable.

Carlo Masi, born Ruggero Freddi, is a former gay adult film actor and bodybuilder from Italy. He was born in Rome, Italy, on September 8, 1979. Masi began his adult film career in 2003, working with companies such as Raging Stallion and Colt Studio Group. Throughout his career, he was known for his powerful body and towering height of 6’3″.

Masi was fired from his job as a researcher and teaching assistant at Sapienza University in 2017, allegedly because of his previous involvement in the adult film industry. He later sued the institution, saying he was sacked unfairly because of his history as a sex worker.

Masi won his legal struggle against Sapienza University in May 2021, with the court declaring that the university had unfairly fired him. Masi added that he hopes his case will set a precedent for sex workers who face employment discrimination.

Masi is currently a postdoctoral researcher at Norway’s University of Bergen’s Department of Mathematics. He is also an active member of the LGBTQ+ community and an advocate for the rights of sex workers.

Carlo’s tale demonstrates that life can take unexpected turns, but it is up to us to get back up and keep going. And who knows, maybe one day, a film based on his life story may be made. From P*rn to Professor: The Carlo Masi Story could be the title. (source)
