The scorpion King, a prequel to the Mummy Returns was The Rock’s first leading role. It was released in 2002. He received  5.5 million USD – a world record for an actor in his first starring role. The Guinness Book of World Records dutifully listed this feat in their 2007 edition.(source)

7 Dwayne Johnson was expected to play Johnny Bravo in a proposed live-action movie based on the character.

Warner Brothers Pictures purportedly wanted to cast Dwayne in their live-action Johnny Bravo film in 2002. They wanted this feature film to be the launch vehicle of the WWE legend, however, nothing came out it.(source)
