Beauty is what brings out the joy in everything we want to enjoy. You love or enjoy one’s company when you’ve been exhilarated by their beauty most times facially, others times based on character and for many other characteristics. One may think of the concept of beauty on the world stage with questions ranging from the following such as ‘is one’s beauty specific to a country’, ‘does all that is beautiful come from one race’, ‘must I travel the seven seas to find beauty’, well the answers to such is accessed and exhibited in pictures from a renowned artist for you to see.

Romanian Photographer Mihaela Noroc decided to answer the numerous questions that comes to our mind regarding beauty and culture. She answered it by travelling around the globe and clicking pictures of beautiful women, from different countries, race and culture to show that beauty is from everywhere. This photo series of hers shows women from countries ranging from Myanmar to Latvia, Chile to Cuba, and even Tibet. Photographed in their environment and clothing, the series shows impressive beauty of women that a Miss World pageant won’t match.

The series by the name of ‘Atlas of Beauty’, aims at showing not just the beauty of women, but the beauty that comes with diversity, regardless of the Global trend that make us seem the same. Mihaela Noroc  tries to show that authenticity in culture is great beauty, and one should not feel  uncomfortable in the dressing, fashioning and trending’s of his or her own culture, as that is what in its self is beauty.
