A four-month-old puppy was found abandoned by North Central Animal Shelter in Los Angeles. Someone had cruelly wrapped a large metal wire around its mouth necessitating 17 stitches.  Along with the deep gash, the vet discovered that the pup had a  dangerous murmur in the heart that needed a complete cardio exam. Once Actress Michelle Trachtenberg alerted Dwayne Johnson about the puppy, Johnson promptly sent a $1,500 cheque to the animal shelter thus, saving the little dog.(source)
