Did you know?
China’s Panjin Red Beach changes color dramatically with the seasons. An alkaline-tolerant seepweed dominates the area. It starts out as green, and turns darker in summer. By early September, it takes a deep shade of red. By October, it ripens into a purplish color before dying off and starting again.
