In 2019, a man named Edgar McGregor set out to clean up Eaton Canyon hiking trail in Southern California. He went to pick up trash every day, and is estimated to have picked up 12,000 to 15,000 pounds of garbage. After 589 consecutive days, he announced that the park was finally clean.
