A newborn Chinese water deer weighs less than two pounds and it is small enough to almost fit into the palm of your hand. When it matures, instead of growing antlers, the deer grows a pair of prominent tusks or canine teeth that protrude from the mouth. Because of this unique feature, they are nicknamed as vampire deer.
